This list will be updated as things progress in our city.

It is evident that the whole city of Austin of currently hurting, as is most of the world. During these times it can become increasingly hard for community members to get basic needs. Food banks in Travis county have seen an over 200% increase in demand for their services. To help this area and more our team at Austin Streets has made a comprehensive list of organizations to donate to.

Food Resources

Central Texas Food Bank - Food bank providing over 39 million meals last year. Registered 501(C)3.

The Helping Center - Food pantry in Southern Burnet County serving 450 families a month last year. Registered 501(C)3.

Housing & At-Risk Support

Caritas of Austin - Homelessness support program assisting over 526 people through food, career development, and more. Registered 501(C)3.

Connections Family Services - Family service program provider in 17 counties. Registered 501(C)3.

ECHO Austin - Strategic planner for ending homelessness in Austin and Travis County. Registered 501(C)3.

Foundation Communities Emergency Assistance Fund - Housing, education, and wellbeing service organization in Austin and in North Texas. Registered 501(C)3.

Front Steps - Helping those facing homelessness in Austin for more than 20 years. Registered 501(C)3

Integral Care - Well-being and health programs for people of all ages. Registered 501(C)3.

The Salvation Army (Austin Area) - Support for individuals and families in need. Registered 501(C)3.

Medical Services & General Funds

All Together ATX - A partnership with United Way for Greater Austin and Austin Community Foundation to help people in the Greater Austin area with medical and other basic needs.

Austin EMS Relief Fund - General needs fund for local medics working during the pandemic.

Family Eldercare - Helping roughly 6000 seniors and adults with disabilities in Texas each year.

SAFE Austin - Organization supporting survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence.

United Way Disaster Relief Fund - COVID response fund through United Way for Hays & Caldwell Counties. Registered 501(C)3.

We Are Blood - Local Texas blood supply network since 1951. Registered 501(C)3.

Restaurants & Breweries

Southern Smoke Foundation - Support for workers in the food and beverage industry. Registered 501(C)3. The eligibility requirements to receive funding can be found at this link.

Small Business

Just - Loan program to support low-income entrepreneurs in Texas afford essentials during these times.

Stand With Austin - General fund for nonprofits assisting individuals and small businesses affected by the cancelation of SXSW. This effort is in partnership with the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas. The eligibility requirements to receive funding can be found at this link.
