Mark Brown, RIT

Industrial & Systems Engineering
Journalism Minor

Everyone can innovate, but no one can do it alone. During my time at RIT, I brought back and run Innovator’s Hour; the largest think-tank for new ideas at RIT. I worked alongside the Simone Center helping students pursue personal projects in electronics, programming, and rapid prototyping at the RIT Makerspace. I have had a direct hand in at least four entrepreneurial teams at RIT ranging from machine learning to disability services.

The need for more innovation in special markets lead me to create Design For Diversity at RIT which encourages students to take a look at underrepresented demographics while designing products. I have a great passion for discovering the missing pieces to the puzzle of everyday life, from innovation to optimization!
